You can learn Mining upon reaching level 30, along with Artisan. Requires 1 job point, like all other jobs. Miner Tutor NPC, Hagen is located in Craftsman Fair (58 3, 0 -58). Between the Alchemy Tutor and Botany Tutor, next to the Alchemy Pot.

To mine an ore you need an appropriate level Mining Pick in your inventory. A basic mining pick, which will mine ores up to level 3, is given upon unlocking the job. Higher level picks have a low chance of breaking upon use. You can gain Miner experience by mining different types of ores. Ores of your current Miner level yield 2 experience points, while ores one level below give 1 experience point. When mining from a "rich" mine point, there is a chance of receiving a rare version of that ore.

Notes about Mining

  • Ore can be sold at the Auction House for fairly decent money (try and keep with the lowest (bid) price to sell out fast!)
